As the seasons are changing, a flock of 500 sheep leaves their urban refuge behind in search of greener pastures. Unseen paths unravel as their journey challenges our gaze, revealing the resilient spirit of transhumance.

More than a documentary, this film artistically dives into the often overlooked lives of sheep, presenting them as the heroes of their journey and transcending typical narratives by syncing with their rhythms. The film serves as a window into a different way of life, one that demands a unique form of attention to the needs of the sheep.

“The jury shows its awe for the achievement of director Tomasz Kulpiński with his deeply empathetic sheep documentary Beyond the City Park . The chosen perspective is that of a human being who pretends to be a sheep and looks at and looks back at his fellow sheep with interest. Completely without words, an understanding is cultivated between the two different types of beings.”

An article in The Guardian cought my attention:
“Hamburg's giant cranes create a beach scene like no other”.

In CONTAINER ROMANTIK I am looking to find the industrial charm of Elbstrand in the reflections of Hamburg’s beachgoers.
